JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY Campus :

• Main Campus : 58 Acres on Raja S.C. Mullik Road.
• Second Campus : 26 Acres at Salt lake.

Main Campus :

• 9 Engineering Streams + Pharma + Architecture + Arts + Science Departments.
• More Number of Students.
• It has OAT (Open Air Theater), Auditorium and Central Library.
• Much of research work is done on Main Campus.
• Hostel Availability is better. However, not every student is allotted a hostel room. 
• Shared Rooms.

Second Campus :

• IT, Instrumentation and Electronics, Power, Construction, Printing.
• Less number of students (you feel like family)
• Not enough hostel rooms.
• It has the CAB cricket ground.
• Small Single rooms.

You will have no problems during placements due to campus.

Both campuses are good.You will never face any distinction because you belong to a particular campus.

JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY Admission :

• Admission is based on the basis of General Merit Rank in WBJEE through WBJEE counselling.
• One has to apply for WBJEE examination and then fill in Jadavpur University courses in the Choice Filling process of the centralized counselling  conducted by WBJEE.
• A candidate must qualify the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) for admission to Architecture course.

JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY Eligibility Criteria :

• Candidate must have Passed the Qualifying Examination (10+2 examination) with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with obtaining individual pass marks in each of these subjects.
• Candidate must secure a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together (45% marks for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD candidates).
• Candidate must also secure a minimum of 60% marks in Mathematics (45% marks for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD candidates) and a minimum of 30% marks in English (for all categories of candidates).
• Reservation : General, OBC-A, OBC-B, SC, ST, PWD, Defence Quota, Minority Quota.
• No home state quota.

• For Engineering courses other than Information Technology : 5,710 Rs (fees for two years)
• For Information Technology                                                   : 30,860 Rs (fees for one year)

HOSTEL FEE :

• Hostel Seat Rent (per year)                                           : 180 Rs
• Electricity Charges (per year)                                       : 120 Rs

• Highest Package Offered is 42 LPA for CSE Student followed by ECE and IT 39 LPA.
• Average Package for CSE is 19.96 LPA.
• Average Package for IT is 12.34 LPA.
• Average Package for ECE is 9 LPA .
